Himachal Adventure Tour

Himachal Pradesh is the place to go for adventure lovers and adrenaline junkies. There are a plethora of adventure activities to indulge in here, including Trekking, Camping, White water rafting, trans Himalayan Jeep Safari, Skiing, Mountain Biking, Para Gliding, Ice Skating, Heli Skiing, Zorbing, Angling, Rock Climbing and Mountaineering, as well as Rappelling. There are distinct seasons for some of these activities. For instance, para gliding is not possible during the monsoons, due to the rains coming down unannounced and playing spoilers.

These adventure activities are available at select destinations, such as Manali and Shimla, and are spearheaded by professional companies and experienced instructors. These activities are mostly pretty affordable, and safe enough to indulge in. There are ample cliffs and rock faces in Himachal Pradesh to climb up or rappel down from, and several rivers where rafting and angling can be carried out in any season. There are many registered adventure companies that offer their services to tourists looking for that rush of adrenaline, while having the time of their lives.

Adventurous Places in Himachal

The beautiful state of Himachal is not just known for its beauty and mountains, but also for the adventurous activities and things that visitors enjoy doing. Some of the exciting places are -

Bir Billing - Thinking of Himachal and not thinking of paragliding? This cannot be true. Visitors love paragliding in Himachal and Bir Billing is the home of paragliders in the state. If you have always dreamt of flying like a bird, then this is the place for you. Take off at Bir and land at Billing, fly at a height of 800 metres and more. Visitors can paraglide for anywhere between 25 minutes to an hour.

Kullu Manali - These hill stations are on the top of the list of every traveller. The famous hill stations of Kullu Manali are also hub of major adventure activities in the state. From trekking in the himalayas to camping in the rich green environment, Kullu Manali is definitely heaven in Himachal.

Lahaul Spiti - This place is bounded by the mountain ranges of Zanskar ranges, Tibetan Plateau, & Kinnaur. Lahaul and Spiti Valley challenge adventure junkies and bring out the best thrill seekers in them. Rivers, high altitude, cold landscape of deserts, amazing treks offer adventure like no other place in this region.

Sangla Valley - Sangla Valley in Kinnaur is one of the most mesmerizing valleys in the country. 1) Hotel Stay at Dalhousie ( Hotel The Jade Mountain) was excellent. Room cleanliness, Staff Behavior, Food Quality were excellent. Only thing lacking was the absence of balcony in the provided room. 2) Regarding Hotel Stay at Dharamshala ( Sky Bhagsu): Room was good and clean but the bathroom was very smelly, I told the same to housekeeping but that was not improved. 3) Hotel at Shimla Aranya vilas was excellent specially Balcony and hill view. Early breakfast (30-60 mins) may be arranged due to onward journey at the time of checking out.

The hotel stay in Shimla was horrible. The room was very congested. The service and attitude of the staff was much below the expectations. The stay in Kasol was very good. The stay at Manali was reasonable. The quality of food was good at Kasol but very poor in Shimla and Manali. The vehicle was good, but the driver was very rash in driving. The driver was not familiar with the site seeing locations that caused lot of wastage of time. The agent did not make the hotel payment on time and this caused some confusion and delay in checking out from Hotels.
