Driver "dipak das" has been assigned for us .. ==> firstly there is a bad odour inside car(not even airfresher available) ==> driver frequently switches off AC and opens window even in heavy traffic with full of pollution outside ==> driver is having gukta, which made my kids vomiting sensation. Post telling him to stop, he agreed ==> driver denied to go specific destination claiming not possible .. but post discussion with travel manager .. problem solved ==> during dawki river trip, driver wants to take a boating with private persons instead of govt organised boating (not good for us) Most importantly driver acts as driver not as guide.. we dont know where he is going .. what are all covered for the day etc. . He just goes to one place .. with no information to us .. One good thing is travelled even late hours one day till 10:00PM Overall OK with indemen travels (not really good experience)

You must pack according to the weather while visiting North East. Considering the fact that you will be visiting states with such diverse temperature, you must pack light as well as comfortable clothes.
You must carry either an umbrella or a raincoat irrespective of the season in which you will be visiting North East as rainfall is usually unexpected in these states. Some roadways do get blocked during monsoon as there is fear of landslides. Therefore, check the weather report before traveling.
In case you are a pure vegetarian, it is advisable that you do not indulge in the local cuisine without making sure of the recipe as most dishes in the North East are non- vegetarian in nature. You will however, find many restaurants that offer mainstream Indian dishes.
Some states in the Northeast have an Inner Line Permit to make sure that visitors to the state can easily be located in case of any emergency. Therefore, you must receive an ILP before you visit these states.
As mentioned above, make sure that you plan a longer trip in order to visit all the locations planned for you as most of the tourist spots are located far away from each other.
