How To Reach Hampi

Hampi is a renowned tourist destination that is located on the banks of River Tungabhadra in the Ballari (Bellary) district of Karnataka. It is situated at a distance of just 13 km from Hospet and Bangalore to Hampi is hardly 350 km. The ancient site is dotted by various ruins of Vijaynagar Empire as well as shows evidence of human settlement that dates back to 1st Century. Being one of the most archaeological sites of India, it witnesses huge influx of tourists from far and wide. Ease to reach this heritage site is made largely possible by smooth roads and good network of flights and trains. As there are various routes through which visitors can reach Hampi, there is no need to worry about how to reach Hampi. The ancient site is accessible by different modes of transport – air, rail as well as road.

Hampi does not have an airport in its premises. However, the nearest town and its district Ballari has an airport that is the closest airport to Hampi. Standing at a distance of almost 64 km from Hampi, Bellary offers flight connectivity with various cities of India. After deboarding at Ballari, the nearest airport to Hampi, tourists can easily reach Hampi by a local transport.

The town of Hampi has no railway station. However, nearest railway station to Hampi is in Hospet. The Hospet Junction Railway Station is situated at a distance of around 13 km from Hampi. The railway station is connected by frequent trains from all over the country. Hospet is well connected to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Hubli, Chennai, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Panjim, Kolkata, Mysore, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Kolhapur and Shirdi. Bangalore to Hampi trains are quite frequent. Overnight trains run several times a week from Bangalore, Hyderabad and Goa. The trains are a much cheaper and more comfortable route, facilitating tourists and answering their query of how to reach Hampi by train. Visitors can board an overnight train from Mysore to Hubli and from there to Hospet. Reaching Hampi from Hospet is an easy task.

Hampi has a smooth network of roads that facilitates holidaymakers to reach the site easily. The road network connects Hampi to a host of towns and cities of Karnataka. KSRTC bus services contribute a lot in enhancing the road transport to and from Hampi with several buses plying frequently between Hampi and several towns and cities in Karnataka. It also has regular bus from Bangalore, Hubli, Goa and Karwar. Bangalore to Hampi bus services allow tourists to visit the two wonderful destinations of Karnataka that are poles apart. Hampi is all soaked in the age-old aura, whereas Bangalore is hip and happening. So, road transport from Hampi to Bangalore is usually chosen by people to add to their vacation delight.  

Visitors can also resort to hire private cars, cabs or other vehicles from big cities like Bangalore and Mysore to travel to Hampi.  Traveling from Bangalore to Hampi by car is an amazing experience. Travelers can also reach Hampi easily by taking a bus from Hospet. In addition, a few other means of local transport are also there that can be availed by visitors to reach Hampi from Hospet and other cities that are connected by road.

Being a regular customer I expected a lot from Travel Triange as my previous experience was beyond Compare.Sorry to say but this time it did not meet my expectations.Here are some points which I would like to mention 1.the agent asked me to pay my installment to various people at different places,which was not at all decent because it seemed like a complete mess. 2.The itinerary was not as per the travel time 3.The agent was reminded again amd again about the trip and other details. 4.The quote was finalised and accordingly i had paid my previous installment but later in extra amount was asked around 6000 extra was paid Ooty was very beautiful.The landscape,the hotel at Ooty,Hospitality of people and gardens were very good.

Hotel Service in hotel as per 3 Star hotel is too good with primers standard ac room. Hotel is purg veg food quality and quantity is so so.( Because we are non-veg food lovers).
